George D Simpson

          George Davis Simpson was born on December 16, 1963, to the late, Sam and Addie Lee

Simpson. He was the blessed number 7 of 8 kids. After years of battling sickness, George

gained his wings on January 21, 2024, at the Northeast GA Medical Center in Gainesville, Ga.

He was a strong fighter until the very end.

          George graduated from the Franklin County School System in 1982. He was a brilliant young

man who was very active in school. After graduating, he joined the work force and had various

jobs. He enjoyed his employment the most at Habersham Plantation building furniture. George

joined Broad River Baptist Church at an early age and later became a deacon. He loved to sing

and was a part of multiple choirs. One of his all-time favorite groups was the Canton Spirituals.

          His greatest hobbies were collecting model cars, sports cards, and guns. Before his health

began to decline, he had his own business doing lawn care in the community. He loved to talk to

everyone, never met a stranger, and would give his last to help anyone.

          George was proud of his family. He leaves many sweet memories to cherish by his two children,

Gedavious (Ta’) and Shemikia Simpson. His 4 grandchildren; Desiyah, Daelyn, Noah, and

Daicen. His sisters; Alice (Victor) Jones, Sarah (Ronnie) Jackson, Rendy (Zach) Rivers, and

Linda Johnson. His brothers; Marvin (Shirley) Simpson, Thomas (Mildred) Simpson, and Paul

(Stephany) Simpson. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and so many friends.
