Gloria Grant, a cherished resident of Toccoa, Georgia, passed away on August 16, 2024 in Demorest, Georgia. Born on April 22, 1949, in Toccoa, Gloria lived a life full of purpose and devotion, exemplifying the values she held dear throughout her years.

Gloria dedicated her career to the healthcare field and undertook housekeeping responsibilities, demonstrating her remarkable sense of selflessness and care for others. Her unwavering dedication to those in need mirrored her personality—a God-fearing, affectionate soul who consistently prioritized the needs of others over her own.

A beloved Mount Zion Baptist Church member in Toccoa, Gloria was actively involved in her faith community until her health began declining. Many appreciated her contributions to the church, and she served as a testament to the power of compassion and kindness in everyday life.

Gloria leaves behind a devoted family who will carry on her legacy of love and strength. She is survived by her children: Andra Grant, John Grant, James Grimes, and Clarence Grimes; her grandchildren: Destiney Grant, Amira Grant, Amileia Grant, Jaquavis Grimes, Clarence Grimes, Jr., Isaac Grimes, Isaiah Grimes, DeAngelo Fambro, Ashley Grant, Gloria Grant, Tierra Grant, Jada Grant, and Andrea Parker; as well as her great-grandchildren: Akil Patterson, Fayha Fortson, Remilyn Grant, Mia Grimes, Melanie Grimes, Amina Grimes, Millco Grimes, Treyce Smith, Ariel Grant, Jerami Flanagan, Makai Grant-Johnson, and Brayden Fambro, and many nieces and nephews.

Gloria also leaves behind her siblings: Tony McCarter, John Darryl, Sr., Saundra Teasley, Delois Brown, Freddy Payne, Judith Brown, Bentley Brown, Elizabeth Brown, and William Brown. Her mother, Lizzie Brown; her father, June Grant; and her brothers, Ronald Grant and Donald Grant, preceded her in death.

Viewing services for Gloria Grant will be held on August 23, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Moss-Stovall-Neal Funeral Home in Toccoa. The Funeral Service will occur the following day, August 24, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Mount Zion Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Toccoa City Cemetery at 3:15 PM.

Gloria’s spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of faith and dedication to family will forever be cherished.
