James Robertson Teasley, a beloved construction worker who dedicated his life to his craft, has passed away at the age of 84. Known for his diligence and commitment, James was revered by colleagues and friends alike for his unwavering work ethic and infectious enthusiasm.
Born on March 25, 1939, to the late Robert Lee and Louise Brown Teasley in Stephens County, GA, James grew up in a tight-knit community where he learned the value of hard work from an early age. He discovered his passion for construction and embarked on a fulfilling career that would span several decades. James's career took him to various construction sites throughout the years, but it was at Morehead Construction where he found not only steady employment but also a second family. James was always willing to lend a helping hand or share his invaluable expertise with those around him.
Outside of work, James enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. He was married to Lela Virginia Poole Teasley, who preceded him in death.
On August 5, 2023, our dear James passed away at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. His legacy will live on through the memories he created and the impact he made on those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A funeral service honoring James's life will be held on August 8, 2023, at Friendship Baptist Church in Toccoa, GA. The service will commence at 1:00 PM sharp, providing an opportunity for friends and family to pay their final respects to this remarkable man. Following the funeral service, there will be a burial ceremony at Full Gospel Baptist Church in Martin, GA.
James's departure leaves a void that cannot be easily filled. He leaves behind a loving family, including relatives, friends, and colleagues, who will cherish the memories they shared with him. We take solace in knowing that James's spirit will live on in their hearts and minds forever.
May we always remember James Robertson Teasley as an exceptional individual who exemplified integrity, kindness, and a relentless pursuit of excellence in both his personal and professional life.
