Alto

Kerry Major Jr., 39, of Alto, GA, passed away on March 4, 2025. Born in Toccoa, GA, he was the beloved son of Butch and Sheila Major.

Kerry was a devoted husband to Jenelle Tyler Major and a loving father to his two daughters, Jade and Kaia Major. As a true “girl dad,” he embraced every moment, from perfecting his living room swing dancing skills to being the ultimate spotter for tumbling passes in the yard. His girls were his greatest joy, and he cherished every adventure with them.

He was a dedicated accountant for White County Government, where his keen mind and strong work ethic were valued by all who had the privilege of working with him. Outside of work, Kerry was an avid foodie, a passionate movie buff, and loved playing basketball. Whether tending to his yard or sharing a meal with family and friends, he found happiness in life’s simple pleasures.

Kerry adored his younger sister, Kimberly Kidwell, and was beyond proud to become an uncle to her son, Landon Kidwell. He shared a close bond with Kimberly and her husband, Chris Kidwell, and treasured every moment spent with his extended family. He is survived by a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, in laws and dear friends, all of whom he held close to his heart.

Kerry’s warmth, humor, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy lives on in the countless memories he created with those he love in addition to being an organ donor. Through organ and tissue donation Kerry saved over 20 lives.

A celebration of Kerry’s life will be held at The Pointe Church on April 5, 2025 at 2pm.
