Mattie Johnson

Mattie Johnson was born on July 10, 1937, in Elberton, Ga, to the late Sallie White. She was called from her Earthly home on December 23,2024. Mattie was a former member of New Light Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband R.C. Johnson; two children and siblings, Joe Hawkins, Willie Mae Johnson, Sarah Hester Stanley, Pearlene Hawkins, and Eurean Smith.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories and loving heart, children, Betty Smith, Linda Norman, and Paula Johnson, all of Lavonia, Ga; sisters, Clara White, of Lavonia, Ga and Geradine Rucker, of Hartwell, Ga; six grandchidren, Tonya Howard, Lavette Lumpkin, Latoya Johnson (Dre), Shatwanna Johnson, Acle Blackwell, of Lavonia, Ga, Yvette Smith, of Hartwell, Ga; five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
