Rebecca Mattox

Our beloved Rebecca Lynn (Hawkins) Mattox, was born May 10, 1953, to the late Masso & Pearlene Hawkins. She was born at home in SpringView Height, Lavonia, Ga. At the age of 16 she was baptized at New Hope Franklin Baptist Church, August of 1969. Laterin her life, Rebecca attended the Kingdom Hall, under the teaching of Jehovah Witness. She was a born again Christian and loved Jehovah God, and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior. Rebecca isthe second of eleven children, and is preceded in death by 3 brothers and a sister, Bobby Clyde, Tony, Mark, and Judy Ann Hawkins.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 50 years, Jerry Mattox; two chidren, Newton Alonzo Hawkins and Augusta Christina Mattox; 9 grandchildren, Derickcus, Cre'Shuna, Rodnesha Mattox, Fantasia Burtch, Jocelyn Wheeler, Akia Hawkins, Alozo and Shyterian Brown; 6 great- grandchildren, Greyson & Claire Wheeler, Zyla Brown, Alaiyah Huff, Alaura Rucker, and Kyrie Mattox; 5 sisters, Linda, Helen, Patsy, and Sylvia; brother, Leonard (Peanut) Hawkins, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
