Terry Louis Reese

Terry Louis “Red ” Reese passed away suddenly in his home on Friday, September 15, 2023. He was born in Toccoa, GA on November 20, 1955 to Mildred Adeline McCurdy Reese and Fate “Red” Reese.

He graduated from Toccoa-Stephens County High School in 1974, and immediately joined the US Army. After 20 years of service and receiving numerous accommodations and awards, he retired as a Staff Sergeant in 1995. While completing his final year in the military; he also graduated from Texas Central College, where he earned a degree in General Studies.

He was employed for over 20 years by the City of Atlanta as a Safety Officer, until his retirement in 2016. During this role, he was awarded numerous accommodations and awards for excellence and training supervision. After his retirement he spent his time working out, traveling, enjoying his children and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Fate Reese, his sister, Swillene McGarity-O’Bryant, his brother Johnny Wayne Reese, and his son Manuel Hackbarth.

He leaves to mourn his sons, Moneico Robinson Sr., (Tisha) of Concord, NC, Daniel Hackbarth of Augsburg, Germany, Tony Reese of Atlanta, GA, and Christopher Reese of Augusta, GA., two grandsons, Moneico Robinson Jr., of Concord, NC, Justice Robinson of Concord, NC, his brother Bobby McGarity of Glen Burnie, MD, his brother Jerry D. Reese of Toccoa, GA., and a host of other relatives to include eight nieces, two nephews, and countless cousins, friends and loved ones.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 1:00pm at Trinity CME Church in Toccoa, GA.
